Hello all Long time no Blog

OK OK I know it's been a while since a blog entry so here it is. Everything is going great!! last week we hit 10 Students for the fist time thanks for inviting your friends and all you new guys and gals thank for comming, we've got some great things going on and planning some cool stuff. The newest entry to the youth hut is our dart board. I AM NOT GOOD AT DARTS! So far I have lost to Michal, Richard, and Kristina, but I did beat Pastor Joel :) Comming up in Febuary we are going to be going to the Winter Jam Concert in Columbia http://www.jamtour.com/ it sounds great, can't wait. Got some other cool stuff planed for the commng month and year starting a new series this week that I think you guys will like and I've added a little something for all you people who are always being noisy when I'm talking (Tiff, Michell, and Em) thats your warning. OK see you all Wednesday night, I'm going to try to have the youth hut wired for sound by then. Later Kevin

Laser Tag/Go Cart Friday Night

OK everyone, Friday December 30 if you are still in town we would love for you to join us for 2 hours of laser tag and go carts. We will be meeting at the church @ 6:15 and leaving for the intemadator shortly after. The cost will be 25 dollars and will include a slice of pizza, a soda, and all the go carts and leser tag you can handle. It's going to be a blast. Well talk more about it Wednesday, later.

Paintball Clinic to be held on December 3, 2005!

Palmetto Paintball welcomes Augusta's Team Shock'Em to our facility on the 3rd of December. Shock' Em will be holding a clinic open to all players beginning at 12 noon through the end of the day. There will be a small fee for this clinic ($3.00) to help pay for a lunch that will be provided by S-Lo cookery provided the South Carolina Gamecock football team doesn't go to a bowl game that day. (The cook is a HUGE gamecock fan.) In the event that S-Lo cannot be here, the fee will be waived. Shock' Em will cover marker skills, drills, basics of teamwork, team formation, and more... Come out and have fun on December 3rd!!

Ok thats the info if you want to go and ride with us we will be leaving the church around 11:30. If you don't have the 3 bucks don't worry about it come anyway. You will need a waver form for the the paintball feild you can get it here http://www.palmettopaintball.com/Forms/PPPW.pdf hope to see alot of people there it should be fun, I don't really know what to expect.

Turkey Bowl

The 1st Annual Springbank Turkey Bowl will be Saturday 26 Nov 05 @ 1:00pm. All are welcome, come and play, come and watch, just come and have fun. This is going to be a great day of flag football, hope to see you all there. We will be playing in the feild next to Springbank Baptist Church.

Pimp My Life

Hey everyone, to replace "Camp Frostbite" we have decided to have a Youth Revival (Pimp My Life Confrence) on Dec 27-29. Still working on the details but it's going to be great. The plan right now is to start at 6:00 and hang out and play some games and stuff for an hour. At 7:00 we will be starting the service whith a rocking praise band for some worship and the the message (I will be preaching). This is going to take some work and planing to pull off and I'll need your help. One big thing is I don't want to call it a "Youth Revival". Chime in with some other sugestions about it, later.

p.s. On Thursday the 29 there will be a lock-in for the dudes and on Friday the 30 there will be a lock-in for the chicks,thats the day after Youth Revival we will be having a lock in, pretty cool hu?

What We Do on Wednesdays

Our average Wednesday night starts around 6:30. We will be hanging out and playing some Xbox, air hockey, foosball, or something else. We usually hang out till around 7:00 and then get started on what ever lesson we have for the night. After everything is over we'll go back to just hanging out and playing games until everyone has to leave. This is a fun time for anyone who wants to come so bring your friends or if your reading this and would like to come go ahead and drop by some time. Directions can be found on our churches website, www.springbank.org . Our age range is grades 5-12;so if this is you come on down.

Welcome To The Planet

We had our first of six Welcome to The Planet lesson this week, the night was a little hectic but fun. We were kinda rushed for time but I've reaganged some stuff for next week and I think it will go alot smother. I'll be there @ 6:30 like always so if anyone wants to come up and play some games or something feal free to, but we will be starting 7:00 sharp so hope to see you there, invite your friends.

CHURCH 101

Hey all this Sunday afternoon (6 Nov) is our very first CHURCH 101 class. I think it is going to be a great class and hope to see all of you there. Parrents are also welcome to join us it will give everyone a good understanding of our ministry, vision, and goals. And I'm sure we can work in some Power Point Games to. Some time next week post some coments here and lets talk about what you thought about the class.

Lock in

Last Saturday night we had a lock-in, not sure what the girls did all night but the guys and I had a great night of pizza, soda and best of all Halo 2 and other X-box, PS2, and Game Cube games. Lots of fun can't wait to own everyone at Halo again (I'm talking to you Michale)
